Introduced to Google Chrome earlier this year is support for a new Push Notifications API. This feature allows websites that you give permission to the ability to send you notifications and alerts – even when the website isn’t open in a tab.

It’s Google Chrome that has added this annoying feature to our computers. To stop these notification in Google Chrome just follow the below steps:
  • Go into your Facebook settings.
  • click on ‘Notifications’ and you’ll see a line partway down the page about notifications on your computer via Google Chrome.
