Widgets are one of WordPress’s primary features, allowing you to display various types of block content in sidebars, footers, and other sections of WordPress sites. Whatever material you add to the widget area will be applied to the overall website. But, there are instances when you need to display some specific widgets on specific pages of WordPress sites.
This is a very simple tutorial on how we can apply these settings to any widget in some easy steps.
Step 1: Open the WordPress dashboard by signing in to your account and then navigate to Plugin > Add New
Step 2: Once the add new plugin page opens. Navigate to the search bar and type Widget Context
Step 3: After successfully installing the Widget Context plugin. Open the Widgets window.
Note: For this plugin to work you may need to have a classic widget editor which might not be available on some themes. In this case, install the Classic Widgets plugin then open widgets page.
Step 4: Click on the widget which you want to modify. For example: as shown in the below picture I have chosen the search bar.
Step 5: You may select from the dropdown to apply the setting as per your requirement. In case you want to show/hide your widget on the selected page then follow step 6.
Step 6: If you want to hide/show your widget on the selected page click on “show widget on selected” from the dropdown showing step 5. Then enter your specific page URLs in the “Target by URL” section.
Step 7: That’s it! you are done. Just click on the save button and enjoy.
