There are leaks following leaks about Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series, and now the company has officially confirmed its launch event, Samsung Unpacked 2022, which will take place on February 9.
The date of February 9 has been widely speculated for some time, with even today’s formal invitation surfacing earlier this week. However, Samsung has confirmed that the ceremony would be aired entirely online, without any in-person event — as has been the case owing to Covid measures since the Galaxy Note 20’s introduction in late 2020. The live broadcast will be premiered At 10 a.m. ET/7 a.m. PT, with the name “Unpacked 2022”.
The phrase “The Epic Standard” appears in Samsung’s promo, although it is not clear what it means. The “S” logo is a shade of purple, comparable to the Galaxy S9’s Purple Lilac color from last year.
During the next launch event, Samsung is likely to focus mostly on the Galaxy S22, S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, with the latter returning the Note’s form factor with a built-in pen. The Galaxy Tab S8 series is also rumored to be on the way.
